We spent two nights and days enjoying the hospitality of Shelburne neighbours Jim and Betty Kimbrell who were kind enough to give us a tour of their winter home area. We even went on their 7 AM morning walks with them!!! Thank you so much Betty and Jim, and Betty, for the most delicious gumbo!!!
Tucked in for 2 days, the RV looks perfectly at home!
Fort Pickens, on the Western end of the island at Pensacola Beach, perfect spot to see the sunset
Loved this neighbourhood mailbox!
Fish, seafood of all sorts, lots of tasty treats and delicious coffee at Pensacola's well-known Joe Patti's market
Restored warehouses downtown Pensacola now home to several bars and eating establishments. Very classy women's washroom!
Pensacola at sundown, with festive white lights everywhere
Unquestionably the highlight of our tour, after dining at an Irish pub, with plenty left for tomorrow, was the stop to see doughnuts being made at Krispy Kreme...we chose not to sample though they sure did smell good! Thanks Jim...
It was fun to see some of our old stomping grounds ... stocked up at Joe Patti's before we began the trek that brought us west. We loved camping for two weeks at Ft Pickens ... so peaceful in the early winter months.
